Tensile Test

The purpose of a tensile test is to identify various properties of a material while it is being pulled straight by a material testing machine. This procedure is often referred to as a tension test or tensile strength test. It is one of the most used test procedures used to evaluate the mechanical properties of materials. It is mostly used to determine whether the material complies with the requirements and to examine the material’s performance. The various experiment kinds include indoor tensile testing, testing at high and low temperatures, etc.

The low temperature test can be used to assess the brittleness of the material at low temperatures in addition to determining the strength and plasticity index of the material at low temperatures. The high temperature tensile test can understand the failure of the material at high temperatures. The tensile test is carried out by Om Metalab in compliance with industry standards and guidelines, including ASTM and ISO tensile test procedures. Among the materials we can test for tensile strength are metals.
